Stretching seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island, Whitehaven Beach is composed of 98% pure silica sand — so fine it squeaks underfoot and stays cool even in the blazing Australian sun. From Hill Inlet at the northern end, swirling patterns of aquamarine and white create an aerial masterpiece that shifts with every tide.
